This product is a cast bell in the shape of a lantern. Why is it a lantern?
The lanterns were the ones that gave us a Japanese feel. Lanterns have been introduced to Japan since the Muromachi period as "tools that brightly illuminate the darkness." It has long been used for traditional events such as festivals and ceremonies because of the meaning of "repelling the devil" and "leading correctly". I wanted to express the lantern with a casting, and made it into a product that can be transmitted from Japan to the world.
The first feature is lightness. Although it is iron, it is 1.5 mm thin and weighs about 90 g.
The second feature is the timbre. I was able to find a comfortable tone over and over again by changing the composition of the iron component.
The third is the light. Researching a method of making a large number of openwork holes without processing the main body in a checkered pattern, it is possible to make individual holes one by one, and it is a bell that puts light in it and becomes a lantern or an interior. ..
Taking advantage of these characteristics, it is a product that can be used in various ways such as sports support bells, wind chimes, lanterns, interiors, and bear bells.
It was selected and introduced in TAKUMI NEXT 2020 last year.
